Professional organizing, estate cleanouts, and downsizing help

With a Nurse's Care and a Mother's Understanding for life's most difficult moments

You know what's in your parents' house. The question is: how do you deal with it?

You've been managing this from a distance for months—the phone calls, the worrying, the flying in for weekends. Now the decision's been made: they're moving to assisted living. Which means someone has to handle the house. The boxes, the paperwork, the furniture, the decades of possessions they can't bear to leave behind. You know what needs to happen. You just can't be there to do it.

Forty years of memories. Thirty days to empty it.

About Me

Professional Organizer Headshot

I became a professional organizer after watching my own family struggle to downsize my grandmother's home. As a registered nurse and mother, I saw how the emotional weight combined with the sheer physical work left my parents exhausted and overwhelmed.

I realized that what families need during these transitions isn't just someone to pack boxes—they need someone who understands grief, who can work with aging parents who are resistant to change, and who can manage the medical and safety considerations that come with senior transitions.

Now I use my nursing training to help families navigate these difficult moments with compassion, efficiency, and dignity. When you hire me, you're not just getting an organizer—you're getting someone who will treat your parent with the same care I'd want for my own family.

Services

Estate Cleanouts

Whether you've lost a parent or they're transitioning to care, I handle the entire estate cleanout process with sensitivity and respect. I'll sort belongings, identify valuables, coordinate donations and sales, prepare the home for listing, and ensure nothing important is overlooked. You can be present or let me handle everything remotely.

Senior Downsizing

Moving from a 3,000 sq ft home to a 900 sq ft apartment is emotionally and logistically challenging. I work directly with your parent (or with you) to thoughtfully decide what comes, what goes, and what gets passed to family. I create a floor plan for the new space and ensure they feel at home from day one.

Move Management

I coordinate the entire move from start to finish: packing, scheduling movers, overseeing the move day, unpacking, and setting up the new home. Your parent walks into a fully functional space with pictures hung, kitchen organized, and bed made. No chaos, no stress.

Pre-Sale Home Prep

Need to list your parent's home quickly? I'll declutter, depersonalize, coordinate minor repairs, arrange junk removal, and work with your realtor to get the home market-ready fast. Homes that are properly staged sell faster and for more money.

Family Mediation & Sorting

When siblings can't agree on who gets what, I facilitate fair and peaceful distribution of belongings. As a neutral party, I help families make decisions without the emotional warfare, documenting everything clearly to prevent future disputes.

Ongoing Organizing Support

Some families just need regular help maintaining order—whether it's monthly decluttering sessions, paper management, or helping an aging parent stay organized in their current home. I offer flexible ongoing support tailored to your needs.

Why Families Choose a Nurse to Handle Their Parents' Transitions

We Understand Resistance

Your parent may have dementia, depression, or simply be resistant to change. My nursing background means I know how to work with cognitive challenges, build trust with reluctant clients, and move forward with compassion.

Safety First

I identify fall hazards, medication management needs, and accessibility issues that typical organizers miss. Your parent's wellbeing is always the priority.

Total Discretion

I'm trained in HIPAA-level confidentiality. Financial documents, medical records, and personal items are handled with the same privacy standards I practiced as a nurse.

We Coordinate Everything

From scheduling movers to coordinating with your realtor, from donation pickups to estate sale companies—I manage all the logistics so you can focus on supporting your parent emotionally.

Out-of-State? No Problem

Most of my clients live out of state. I provide photo updates, virtual walk-throughs, and handle everything on the ground. You'll know exactly what's happening without taking weeks off work.
